I see a lot of US flag burning on TV and I'm just curious, is there a shop in downtown Baghdad and such that sells American flags? If so, I think I should invest in them.

I think I'll invent an American flag that explodes and do the world a few thousand favors.

I read about something like this in i think it was Private Eye: theres a guy in the UK who makes american and other flags and he has been getting huge orders for them from the middle east (recently he has been getting orders for scandinavian flags as well). He said he was concerned as they are made from a plasticy type material that when it is burnt it melts and he is worried that someone will blind themselves!

They can burn any flag they want if they wrap themselves in it first.

From what I hear they buy a lot of them on ebay and sorts like that.

I personally find that the symbol of a flag for a country has gotten to quite an absurd point now, and that people do not realize exactly how ridiculous the whole thing is.

I've wondered about that as well.
One would, ironically, suppose that investing in so much memorabilia of the regime you hate and at the same time obviously financing that which you hate, would be stupid and counter-productive.

But as most US flags are made by Indonesian children in Chinese sweat shops (or something like that), I, equally ironically, think it will serve anti-imperialism in the long run.

Or something like that...
