Not necessarily, as I said other things come into it rather than being the best club. A certain player might like to play for a certain manager or like to live in a certain place and play their football so all things will be considered when joining a club. We may have to agree to disagree on this one 🙂

A football club is a business. They can use their money however they wish. They wish to give football players lots of money. Do you own a football club? Do you know how one works?

They are businesses these days where as they used to be teams and clubs playing only for the joy of football. I do not own one no but I have a good understanding of how one works. I have a great knowledge of football for such a young person, and I like to exercise that with likewise people 🙂 thats why im in the footie supporters clan.

I would have to agree with outburst, footballers wages are a joke. They are getting paid for kicking a piece of leather about a park.

I am an avid armchair supporter but would never pay todays prices to goto a match because I cant justify the money.

I read in the paper the other day that Henry has just signed again for arsenal for the next four years recieving an estimated £130,000 a WEEK as is 28 Y/O!!

That to me is a joke NOT to be laughed at.

The owners don't care that you won't pay the ticket price to go see a game. They can find enough people who are prepared to pay the ticket price to sell out the ground. And those that won't pay the price will sit at home and help earn them revenue by sitting through a whole lot of adverts (indirectly of course, you make money for the TV network who in turn pays more money for the rights to broadcast the games).

Football clubs are businesses, they are in the game to make money not to entertain you.

A salary cap is not the same as requiring all players to be paid the same.

I didnt say that, I just saw it on the football site and posted it here as it has some relevance to the topic.
