Who is suffering the most? College graduates, who have moved up a rung on ladder of life, or a high-school graduate, (if that), unsteady, working, with a starter home (FHA loan), having a hard time making payments, feeding 2 children? Would it make more sense to pay off the choking FHA loan?
I look forward to an honest debate!!!!
Here is a teaser for you libs to get into the thread:
California lawmakers have stated that there can be no more gas cars, or some such .......THEN, today, they said to not be charging their electric cars!!!!!
They also told people to bake cakes but not turn on their ovens!!!! (Not really,,,,just a bit of comedy for the libs)
So here you have it, my lib friends. Liberal reasoning outed!
Now back to the original question of this thread.
@averagejoe1 saidNo NEW cars to be sold.

Hey Jo, did you also read that LAKE MEADE, and LAKE TAHOE
are at their lowest water levels in RECORDED HISTORY?

OK Joe - Inflation is a factor in the economy, no doubt, but your doom and gloom language is just plain silly. Very few people are "suffering" there are more jobs available than there are people to fill them (a little item you conveniently left out) and overall inflation appears to be slowing.
As far as FHA loans go, the advisability of paying them off would depend largely on one's financial situation, so there is no "one size fits all" answer to that one.
The bottom-line Joe is despite your attempts to paint the economy as a disaster, we have a fairly average economy. Interest rates are still historically low, unemployment is not a problem, and with the exception of inflation, things are in good shape.
That's my honest debate (without the !!!!'s) 😏
@mchill saidNot honest...you did not say which loan is causing the most suffering, and thus should be paid off instead of the other loan. I am trying to write this in plain English.

Say your un-educated brother Bill has 2 kids and in real mortgage problems, 4 months behind on payments.
Say your other brother Tom is a college graduate, with a tuition loan that can be restructured if necessary, and be paid off in a reasonable period of time.
A judge asks you to decide which loan should be paid off.
We can do this, McHill. Pick one. Or, you can bring the subject of farm subsidies, Inflation, border crossings, climate and Trump into the scenario.
Why do liberals not answer simple questions?
@averagejoe1 saidNot honest...you did not say which loan is causing the most suffering - - Yes, I did Joe. Go back and read what I wrote. I said that depends on one's financial situation, everyone has a different way of managing their money.

A judge asks you to decide which loan should be paid off. - - A judge isn't going to ask me anything of the kind, so your statement makes no sense, but I'll take a stab at it just to placate you: My answer is, I think both loans should be paid off, lenders charge interest and the sooner the debts are paid the cheaper it is for the borrower. Make sense?
I picked the first option, and responded, so no need to go into the second one. (Unless you want to lose that debate too) 😏

Nice try on this Joe but it was you in the other thread who kept changing the subject to other, potentially better uses of tax dollars.
If you're going to use examples of other wasteful government spending, why use a hypothetical? Why not choose spending items that actually already happened?

And where did you get this bizarre idea that high school graduates with 2 children are buying houses?!
@AverageJoe1
Yeah, California has ZERO problems right? Fires covering many square miles, so many square miles it is meaningless to even note how many acres are involved, in the middle of a thousand year drought with the major fresh water lakes down to 1/4th of the former levels.
So what's the big deal, right, no reason to panic.
According to a zombie like you that is.
@mchill saidMy 'judge' adaption was to say you were being asked, by someone of authority besides myself, to answer the question, McHill.

Your answer, in classic liberal-eze, is to pay both. It is unfortunate that you could not recognize the grief of men like the family guy in totally distress, some of whom have committed suicide. A college grad prob would not commit suicide over his college loan.
You are the weakest of wimps, I just hate it. Are all of your decisions like that? Winnie the Pooh.
Tell us where the govt will get the money to pay everyone's debts, a marxist like yourself will not stop with tuition and mortgage.
Car payments? Universal insurance on all cars?
Jesus H. You are right, one of us won this debate. But, yeah, you will want a trophy, too.🏆
@averagejoe1 saidYou are the weakest of wimps, I just hate it. - - Dear Joe, despite your petty insults, I'm not trying to make you angry, but your questions often make no sense because you try to apply one scenario to millions of people. It just doesn't work.

Are all of your decisions like that? - - My decisions are based on the specific issue to be decided, once again, there is no "one size fits all" decision.
@mchill saidMillions of people? OK, in small town USA, there are 20 people who are about to lose their homes in foreclosure. There are 20 people who graduated from college and have tuition loans to be paid.

The town Council is meeting today to decide how to apply tax money ….both groups of people are asking for that money to pay their loans.
If you were on the council, how would you vote, given these facts? You have heard the college grads representatives and the rep for people who are close to losing their homes.
