She said that her cat was found 2 days later hiding in her basement.

Neocons want to milk the narrative all the way to election day, so the longer they string Mott and Joe along with the lies, the better. For what it's worth, Anna seems like a nice lady and she has since apologized to her neighbors who immigrated legally.
Really, if immigrants are truly bad, then why make stuff up about them and parrot it on the debate stage to prove that point?
