The very same people that screamed bloody murder at Ilhan Omar, who compared her to terrorists are now, again, dragging their feet over offering first responders healthcare. The very same people that tweet "#NeverForget" are telling people who put their lives and health in danger that they don't have the time, or money, money that went into tax cuts for the rich.

Like Jon Stewart said, how this is not unanimously passed is beyond belief. How this is still an issue today, is beyond shameful.

Hypocritical behavior from the right wing? How shocking! 😲

I was just curious how many democrats voted against the Zadroga act. Google provided: 4. Out of both Senate and House.

At least in this regard, republicans and democrats are not alike and one is clearly better than the other. 4 out of a very long list of senators and representatives.

Oh wow, Jon Leibowitz went to Congress and yelled at them about something?

This is pretty amazing:

More than 40,000 people have applied to the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund, which covers illnesses potentially related to being at the World Trade Center site, the Pentagon or Shanksville, Pennsylvania, after the attacks. More than $5 billion in benefits have been awarded out of the $7.4 billion fund, with about 21,000 claims pending.

Stewart and other speakers lamented the fact that nearly 18 years after the attacks, first responders and their families still have no assurance the fund will not run out of money. The Justice Department said in February that the fund is being depleted and that benefit payments are being cut by up to 70 percent.

"The plain fact is that we are expending the available funds more quickly than assumed, and there are many more claims than anticipated," said Rupa Bhattacharyya, the fund's special master. A total of 835 awards have been reduced as of May 31, she said.

Stewart called that shameful.

"Your indifference is costing these men and women their most valuable commodity: time," he told lawmakers. "It's one thing they're running out of."

Mr. Leibowitz is right -- we need, what, at least another 5 to 10 billion dollars to ensure that 40,000 people get their piece of the pie. Surely, there would never be any need to have oversight over these funds.

Just put it out there.

What is your agenda here, I mean besides denying money for anything except tax cuts for the obscenely rich?

And what's up with your dog-whistling about his name? Look, we already know Nazis hate Jews, nothing new there.
