18 months ago I made a commitment to read for at least 30 min. a day (something I do at least 90% of the time) some mornings I have to drag myself to the kitchen table and read, because I'm just not in the mood, but it's sure made a difference! Reading has not only kept me better informed, but has helped me to improve at to work, exercise, and to be a better husband. Right now I'm plowing through this reading list recommended by a guy I went to school only a few blocks away from - Bill Gates. These cover everything from economics, the environment, technology, business, to personal development.

Mr. Gates didn't achieve his success by being stupid. Please give these a try. 🙂

@mchill
Netflix is carrying a 3 part series on Bill Gates.
I’ve watched part 1.
Recommended.
(even for people who think Trump is smarter than Gates 😛).

That's great. But I would point out that by walking briskly while listening to audiobooks through Audible or Blinkist for the same amount of time, you can kill 2 birds with one stone.

And you'll look forward to it rather than dreading it.

I'm sure this is true, but I just can't get into the walking thing, I do yoga because A. It's a good full body workout and B. The instructors on the DVD's I use are total hotties! 😏

You're right though, your audio book while walking idea is more efficient.

Reading books on paper rather than listening to audio allows you to set the pace.

Audible lets you speed up or slow down the pace of the audio. You can usually get it at least to 1.5x before it starts sounding like a chipmunk.

But of course, to each his own. Some people would rather read the words on the page than listen to it. That's not me, though. My print reading these days is mostly magazines (I read The Economist almost cover-to-cover), travel books and maybe some Grisham-type novels. For "real" reading, I generally rely on Audible. I rarely walk less than 5 miles a day these days, typically broken into 3 walks (early morning, lunch and nighttime). With the weather being so pleasant to walk in this time of year and some really good audio books, I look forward to walking. It's the most peaceful part of the day.

Right, rich people have all the answers...............except Trump of course, but I think that is only common sense.

@whodey

I read Art Of The Deal and How To Get Rich by Donald Trump, Whodey. They were little more than collections of short stories of Trump's business deals, with very little instruction anyone could use.

I would also point out, since Trump won't turn loose of his tax returns until the courts force him to do so, your golden boy is not nearly as successful as you might believe. Gates, Zuckerberg, Buffett, and Bezos are on the A list. Trump is just a noisy little sideshow.

P.S. And I'm still pretty PO'd about Trump hitting on Bill Gates' 18 year old daughter! 😠

McHill, you just tainted your nice thread!!!! But as to Trump books, his thinking seems to work. You can start by buying a few rental houses.
