i"d rather have let the earth eat my redundant vehicle than take part in this pyramid scheme

you'd think the germans might have a little bit more humility than sanction the building of the world's biggest pyramid made from human ashes. Maybe they have no say in such things.

remembering the end of the world - david talbot

edit) Mythscape: Remembering the End of the World DVD
A video documentary that could change everything you thought you knew about planetary history.

Based on more than two decades of systematic research and cross-cultural comparison by comparative mythologist David Talbott, Remembering the End of the World reconstructs a cosmic drama when planets hung in the sky close to the earth--an epoch of celestial wonder giving way to overwhelming terror.

This highly visual presentation, supported by stunning computer graphics, offers new answers to enigmas that have baffled experts for centuries. Why did every ancient civilization celebrate a former "Age of the Gods", an age claimed to have ended in earth threatening disaster? What was meant by the lost "Golden Age?" Why did ancient sky worshippers refer to Saturn as "the sun?" Why was Venus worshipped as the "Mother Goddess?" And why did both Old and New World astronomers celebrate the planet Mars as a great warrior whose battles shook the heavens? (Approximately 90 minutes.)

Production

Comparative mythologist David Talbott has devoted much of his life to identifying the "archetypes" or common mythic themes of cultures around the world. His research has been the primary catalyst behind the "Saturn theory." Founder and publisher of the ten-issue Pensee magazine series "Immanuel Velikovsky Reconsidered," he is the author of The Saturn Myth (Doubleday, 1980) and the founder of AEON: A Journal of Myth and Science. He is the director of Thunderbolts.info and co-author (with Wallace Thornhill) of Thunderbolts of the Gods and The Electric Universe.

May be cheaper than a plot of land in a nice cemetery.

Maybe it's just a way to save money.

And be part of a giant pyramid!

It's either that or be shot in to space.
