I read the article. They say that while the name change is cosmetic, the changes are consequential. Im not sure how significant access for US farmers to Canadian diary markets will prove to be or how upping the local content to 75% for automobile's made outside of the US for them to be tarrif free will draw business and investment back into the States. It equally represents a risk or a gamble if you like, that auto companies don't just relocate to China to produce vehicles at a cost so low, that even with a full tarrif, they can generate more profit there by avoiding having to negotiate and hurdle the Trump local content/tarrif barrier. And then there's the Trump steel tarrifs that are still in play....

So yes the overall impact of NAFTA 2.0 will make it look a lot like 1.0, what was Suzianne saying about the new boss..., but apart from the neutral umpire, that the Canadians insisted on keeping, and big pharma being able to squeeze a bit more for longer from Canadian consumers, which their healthcare system will no doubt ameliorate, I'm not sure why Trump bothered.

And this may be back page news by the time the news cycle gets to process the NYT's investigative report into the fraud and scamming that has been part of the Fred Trump wealth transference tax avoidance scheme and how DJT's claims of being a self made man are pure fantasy!

Yeah, Trump is SUCH an angel. Continually going with the lie he was given a one million dollar loan from daddy to start his self made empire. In fact it was SIXTY million and almost half billion scammed off the top to avoid a couple hundred mil in taxes, paying maybe ten percent when it should have been more like 50 % if it had been any of us in the same boat.
