Romney=Rich, Santorum=Conservative, Paul=Old
People often say you should go with your gut. If everyone does that in the election, all the GOP candidates might have a problem. The most common response to come to mind when Americans hear the names of the Republican presidential candidates is “No” or “No way.”
A new national survey conducted by Pew Research Center and The Washington Post has asked Americans about the first word that comes to their mind when they hear the names Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul. . . .
Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul end up being mostly associated with their age. For both of them “No” and “Old” are the two most associated words. . . .
Top ten words for the candidates:

But your focus is on those who might challenge him in November, otherwise you would care less.
Moreover, the post is really about what has become of the Republican party, and how sad for the country. I would much rather have a viable Republican party that is not a joke and who can work in a bipartisan way with the Democrat party to help the country.
Romney, Santorum, Newt, Paul. Need I say more.
Originally posted by moon1969I would agree that the GOP is in sad shape. Ron Paul is an example. He is ridiculed by both parties, even though he outshines everyone running, including Obama, by leaps and bounds. It is only Ron Paul who stands on principle and dares say what he believes as he is booed by Republicans as he declares the wars abroad unwise and unsustainable. One of my favorite moments was on Youtube when some guy asked Santorum why he voted to raise the debt ceiling 5 times and why he voted for big government programs like No Child Left Behind. His response? He told the guy that if you wanted limited government then go vote for Ron Paul.

Really the Democrats are no different. "W" was fiscally retarted just like Obama and he also inacted massive entitlements like Obama. Both parties also seem to have a thirst for killing overseas. The failing of the GOP is not that it does not act in a bipartisan way, it's failing is that it is no different than the Democratic party.
