yeah it turned out there were lots of WMDs and ties to Al Qaeda in Iraq. "I told you so".
And they did find almost 500 artillery shells with sarin and mustard gas. The product was junk, but nobody knew how bad Iraqi material was. WWI material, when it is found, is still quality product. If the iraqis were competent, those shells would still have useable material in them.
Not that I think these shells justify that piece of crap WMD arguement. I'm just trying to correct a very common error.

A few observations:
1. WMDs are a lot easier to hide or get rid of than figher jets.
2. Whoever was in charge of the Iraqi military choose to bury the planes rather than use them against America. Obviously they did not pull out all stops in trying to maximize American casulties.
3. Even an amateur strategist could reason that for America to not find WMDs in Iraq after invading would do a lot more harm than for a few army batallians to be attacked WMDs.
Not drawing any conclusions, but just putting out some food for thought.

Egyptian intelligence has also speculated that the Iraq exported the people with knowhow and small amounts of material into Syria before and during the early days of the invasion.
However, Egypt has just recently said that it may go farther then just energy with its nuclear program because Israel has them and Iran is going to, so Egypt needs them.
It makes for some shoddy speculation, but their could be something to it I guess.

Oh yeah, Oberman is just as much a tool as O'Reilly is.

yet another proof that decent people still live in US. However these proofs are useless until bush gets ...(something nasty, americans should figure what, it is their president)
As a newsman however, his performance is lacking.

A few stray shells have been found with some chemical weapon material, but that seems to be indicative of inefficiency rather than some "secret" stash. Alack and alas, supporting a war means never having to say you're sorry and the rabid right wingers just won't admit that there wasn't any stockpile of WMD's in Iraq no matter what the evidence says. They got sent to Syria or Egypt or they're buried or or or or .................. etc.
EDIT: Even the Bush Administration's Iraq Survey Group concluded:
ISG has not found evidence that Saddam Husayn possessed WMD stocks in 2003, but the available evidence from its investigation—including detainee interviews and document exploitation—leaves open the possibility that some weapons existed in Iraq although not of a militarily significant capability.
