Look around you right at this moment, your computer, the chair you're sitting in (try making it, form dirt and bit's of wood and with no tools) the light switch (and what happens when you flick it) For f***s sake, snap out of it, every where I look I see good things, things that are a result of people making their lives better and trading with each other.
For a short sharp lesson throw all your clothes off and go and try to survive out in the boonies like all the other dumb beasts.

Originally posted by WajomaCute, I'll finish reading it later,as I have to go to work, but still, man as a species has gotten off track. Mired in petty squabbles and superficiality. I hold no hope for the future unless man as a species can change his ways, but as the saying goes:A leopard can't change his spots. What I need is someone who can tell me without using oversentimentality and whiny stories of their kids and wife why we consider man the species and our "acheivments" so great.
You're one of those blokes that see's the glass as being 95% empty even when it's half full....the good vastly out weighs the bad.

You don't have Burger Kings up there? Or Wendy's?
The Internet is good for other things besides porn, such as chess, for instance...
Originally posted by CanadaguyI read somewhere once (can't remember where, probably the Evening Standard - London's finest!) that back when mankind was generally sexually repressed, we put all our energy into doing great things, like building the Sistine Chapel, or writing Dante's Inferno, or translating the Bible into common languages, exploring the world etc.

Then we became sexually liberated and stopped doing great stuff, and as a result it seems the only important thing nowadays is sex and we have Britney Spears and MacDonald's.

1. Who says this is our species's golden age, and how would they know?
2. Is there something wrong with Britany Spears, McDonald's, or internet porn? (Sincerely.)
