I think you missed my point. We re supposedly living in a golden age of mankind, but really what have we acheived? All I see is Britny Spears, McDonalds, and Internet porn? whats so grat about this. How come we have failed to reach our potential as a species?

Some good responses here, No sasquatch, I'm not depressed, although I may sound like it. Yeah we have Wendy's ect, and yes unfortunately I have heard of Ashlee I was using those as generalisations. My beef is that I don't want to involve myself in anything. I do not care about the whales, or the environment. I would like to see our species mature a little, try to achieve better things, instead of fixating on poor ideals. Maybe I'm a huge nerd but I would like to see a society like Star Trek. Where people want to better themselves. As it is I think we would be better off in a dark ages type of scenario. Restart society, and have to rebuild. At least it would give us something to work for. Kinda like in Fight Club.
