I have never seen a great man. There are just man that are called great. The more I have to deal with men the more I see how foolish they are.

looks like people in Utah are closer to reaching their potential than the rest of the world.

Some good responses here, No sasquatch, I'm not depressed, although I may sound like it. Yeah we have Wendy's ect, and yes unfortunately I have heard of Ashlee I was using those as generalisations. My beef is that I don't want to involve myself in anything. I do not care about the whales, or the environment. I would like to see our species mature a little, try to achieve better things, instead of fixating on poor ideals. Maybe I'm a huge nerd but I would like to see a society like Star Trek. Where people want to better themselves. As it is I think we would be better off in a dark ages type of scenario. Restart society, and have to rebuild. At least it would give us something to work for. Kinda like in Fight Club.

Because man invented languages and great (in one form or another) is one of the words available for self description. It's no different than other subjective, descriptive words: tall/short, fat/thin, smart/dumb etc. It's also not objectively valid until used to describe mankind by a superior species. And even then they might just be buttering us up to sell us real estate somewhere else in the Milky Way.
