The only thing that is different now is that the present administration is willing to allow these civil enforcement agents to hide their identities to make it more difficult to hold them accountable for misconduct. Real police don't get to do that because we don't live in an authoritarian police state. And real police have no problem wearing name tags and other identifiers for the public to see; perhaps ICE agents who insist anonymity is necessary should find another line of work.
