An easy mistake to make when the rest of the world remember
their war dead on the 11th November rather than their veterans.

Since 2006 "Armed Forces Day" (formerly "Veterans Day"😉 has
been celebrated in the UK on the last Saturday in June.

In New Zealand "Anzac Day" remembers both the dead and the
veterans. Armistice Day/Remembrance Day is also a Day of Remembrance.
contrary to your statement there in no coordination throughout the world on remembrance of their war dead. I think now you are confusing all war dead with armistice day.

who gives a fuk who you let off the hook you arrogant ba stard!
If you invade other countries like Nazis are you a hero? The German people were duped by propaganda too. Does that make it right? At some point a soldier needs to own up to the reality they are not fighting invaders. If you are on the other side of the world that is not defense, that is offense.

I never mentioned "coordination".
The simple fact is that most of the world chose to accept Armistice Day
as the day they would remember their dead. The USA already had
Memorial Day so they used Armistice Day as Veterans Day.

No confusion on my part.

WTF does Nazis and Germany have to do with this?

It is inherently simple minded to think individual soldiers can decide what they will and will not do. Im not sure you understand how this whole nationhood thing works.

Armistice day is a remembrance of the dead of WW1...allied nations ( not “ most of the world&rdquo😉 coordinated this date to remember the dead from that era only, not all war dead.

If you lived in Nazi Germany would you join the military and follow orders knowing what you know now? Individual soldiers can choose not to fight. There is punishment for it, but there is a choice.

Be schooled.
Armistice Day has been chosen by a host of nations as Remembrance Day.
A day to remember those who have died in any conflict ... nt just WW1.

Yes, "rest of the world" was a touch hyperbolic - although I'm
sure only a handful of fools took it literally - nevertheless the
rest of my posts are quite accurate and yours .... not so much.

You're the one not even trying to substantiate your inaccurate posts.

Best leave it there.
But do a little googling and educate yourself. Just for fun.

As you want.

You could have just said "thanks for the info",
"I didn't know that" or something similarly adult.
