@Mott-The-Hoople
To spell it out, Remembrance Day (what it's called in most countries) is marked in many countries besides the US.
I suppose your world view, or lack of one, can be forgiven.
Carry on. 😛

@mghrn55 saidYou and Rusty, can you take a break from our haranguing and at least be nice about what these guys did? So we can do this? I wonder how many of us would be ready to fight if a draft came along to put this vermin down? Not many, there would be a meltdown if guys had to reach for their rifles, or for their cell phones. Brrrrr

Thanks to all the veterans who invaded other countries on the other side of the world that didn't do anything to us. Now we have a terrorism problem because of all the wars we wage in the middle east. To combat this terrorism we had to give up our freedom and now our country is broke.
Thanks for nothing.
@metal-brain saidThank you Mott.

@mott-the-hoople saidIdiots follow orders to invade other countries. I'm not letting blind followers off the hook. They are supposed to defend our country, not invade others. When was the last time soldiers fought on our soil?

Those willing to fight are enlisted men.
The draft is for those not willing to enlist.

their war dead on the 11th November rather than their veterans.
Since 2006 "Armed Forces Day" (formerly "Veterans Day"😉 has
been celebrated in the UK on the last Saturday in June.
In New Zealand "Anzac Day" remembers both the dead and the
veterans. Armistice Day/Remembrance Day is also a Day of Remembrance.
