Helene, the most destructive hurricane

Brian Kemp said in Georgia it was like a 250 mile wide tornado and the pictures coming out of Asheville in NC and down in Georgia and Florida is almost incomprehensible.
The right wingers here have not been visible here on RHP and I hope it is not because they have been devastated in their own homes.
We up here in Pennsylvania have it so good weather wise it is hard to even imagine the destruction in the states hit.
My sister and son in law both live in North Carolina, Brian in Raleigh and Maxine in Jacksonville and they both lucked out big time but not that far away in Asheville, total destruction. And Georgia destruction looks more like a nuke attack.
Biden is due to have a press conference soon, and now is not the time for partisan politics, we have to put that BS aside for now and act as if we are all Americans to get through this massive destruction.

People who buy a house just look at the house and that's it.
More importantly you need to look at the elevation, bodies of water close by, how quick you can evacuate if need be etc etc.

Southern towns have a lot of old shacks so that doesn't help either.

U r right. I am nc and ga, and my Vdosta peanut farmer friends are distraught. So sad, visited them, just left Valdosta, slipped away before the trump crowds.
Count your blessings my heart weeps for them. Asheville indescribable

Trump has a lot of huevos saying Biden and Harris are doing nothing.

He did less than nothing for the people of Puerto Rico when hurricane Maria devastated that island in 2017. He went down and threw paper towels to the audience. Big whoop. He sent no federal aid. Some communities were without power for two years.

The first big failure of his brand new administration.
