or is it the biase towards truth that is worrying you?

kmax87 is right, there's a part of all of us that's encouraging
this war and I for one don't welcome the decline of America,
it's not in my interest. But the questions still have to be asked.
Americans are killing Iraqi's, but we are definately more precise than you would like to believe. It's war, innocient people will die. We are not targeting anyone other than who needs to be targeted! If I recall we are trying to do them a favor, but unfortunately they might not be ready or able to accept!

The trouble with sharia law is that it is more religious than cultural. Islamic countries that observe it will never progress beyond the 12th century.
No need to worry about them going nuclear then.

It would be incredibly naive to suggest that anyone would just randomly post about backwardness in the world, just as an observation, without trying to manipulate those facts in a way that would generate capital for the ways of the west. Considering where the focus of US led military intervention is, it beggars belief that posts such as these are not intended ...[text shortened]... ust be Newspeak where the President on record has said, in Orwellian shades, War is Peace.
You're giving me tired head.

You shouldn't have to defend yourself about questioning the motives
of America at the moment, try to remember that hundreds of thousands
of Iraqi men women and children are now dead because of this
administration.
What about the millions of dead by the hand of the dictator that was deposed?

Let's not forget that some, no quite a bit of the death toll is from Iraqi's killing Iraqi's with car, bus and motorcycle bombs and due to thier undying hate for each other.

Also, are you including the Iraqi-on-Iraqi homicide in your metric?

Its much easier to run with the pack, march in step and salute when challenged. You can get through most of your life without losing any sleep over anything happening around you.

Just say 'my country tis of thee, my country right or wrong and hope to hell a couple of beers and the company of old friends will help keep the nagging questions at bay. It works for most.

Is that what works for you?

You're childish, ineffective and morally confused.

Now that we've worked out your problem, how do you propose to grow up?

No, see, I was saying that about you. What you're doing now is engaging in projection.

Couldn't possibly be, this is an open forum. Our conversation is not in camera.

Along with other human rights organizations, The Documental Centre for Human Rights in Iraq has compiled documentation on over 600,000 civilian executions in Iraq. Human Rights Watch reports that in one operation alone, the Anfal, Saddam killed 100,000 Kurdish Iraqis. Another 500,000 are estimated to have died in Saddam's needless war with Iran. Coldly taken as a daily average for the 24 years of Saddam's reign, these numbers give us a horrifying picture of between 70 and 125 civilian deaths per day for every one of Saddam's 8,000-odd days in power"

The "war on terror" - and by terrorists - has directly killed a minimum of 62,006 people, created 4.5 million refugees and cost the US more than the sum needed to pay off the debts of every poor nation on earth.

Given these statistics in addition to the millions of lives that could
have been saved by wiping out third world debt, could a better
solution have been reached?
