Recall all public sector leaches that don't merit and earn such wealth with qualifications comparable to those required in the private sector to make that kind of money.

Sickening.

There was that time that he cited a web site that seemed to claim the U.S. had killed nobody in the Vietnam War - as his contribution to a debate about how many people the U.S. killed in the Vietnam War!
Washington hospital is in Fremont, Alameda Co., not in Santa Clara or Santa Clara County. Just saying.

Considering the importance of their work, the amount of hours they put in, and how none of these people will be anywhere nearly as famous as a utility infielder on a last place baseball team.

It is a joke that there are people who think the government should pay for their medical care but the doctors should get paid as if they are transit workers.
Originally posted by KazetNagorraFirst they have the higher probability of getting hired or rewarded with a raise depending on the performance of their job compared to in a government job where people rarely get fired and politics gets people more jobs. Second, the productive and efficient work in the private sector warrants higher pay, not lower pay.
What makes you think the equivalent jobs in the private sector are better performed and/or less paid?
I recently was reading on the many causes of the fall of the Roman Empire and found a pattern that over time, emperors were more and more in a position of having to pay civil servants more and other employees of the state and to raise tax revenue. They instituted such crazy measures as forcing people to keep the same job through generations of people as the high-taxes often made some occupations completely unprofitable and undesirable and people were abandoning their fields. They forced people to pay more than they could afford and when barbarians and others fought against roman rule, the local populations were greatful to be freed from the increasingly tyranical and high-tax state.
The government workers are more a drain on resources if they are paid as high as the people listed are paid. Do you think that there is not a probability of overpaid employees on that list?
