Point? Do you think that the forces of an invaded country have no right to defend their cities, villages and populations?

All mfa.gov.il links. It stinks to say the least.

P.S.: BTW, few people seems to know what the difference is between a rocket and a missil.

The point he is making is that Hezbollah started it by firing rockets into Israel. Now they whine when Israel retaliates.

With all respect due Jim, why don't let himself to explain what his point was?

BTW, you have a point here, and I respect it.

- J

EDIT: but it seems like a child retaliation: "you broke my favourite toy, so I kick your arse!' "No, you were the first one doing so, you are a moron"... and so on.

But the "toys" here are innocent human life... 😳

Yes you have a point also. My question is? How come when Isreali citizens are killed where is the voices condemming that act? Hezbollah is on record stating that they will never be at peace with Israel until the push the Jews into the sea. My point is Israel isn't going anywhere and the idiots in Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Palestinians need to realize that before there is peace. They need to quit being the patsies and cannon fodder for the Iranians and Syrians who really don't care for the Palestinians.

Jim, we agree again.
But can we recapitulate on the order in which this conflicts were appearing? (in the last times, I mean).

- First, Afganisthan. Purpose: to eliminate Talibans and chase OBL.
- Then Iraq. To chase Saddam (I can imagine cheap oil for USA, I can't imagine the "humanitarian" war to install there a democratic government; lots of innocent "casualties" from both parts up today.)
- Then, North Korea and Iran defying USA pursuing their objective of getting refined uranium.

Being Syria and Lebanon "natural" allies of Iran, and being Israel fed up by USA with weapons and money, what better strategy from US that weaken the allies of Iran before attempting an invasion?
(The Iran invasion was *clearly previously announced* if they persist in his trend to get WMD).

As far as my opinion goes, this war was provoked by the US government, with consequences we are not capable to see in the near future.

I really hope to be wrong.
I'm not by any mean anti-american. But I must to disapprove the interventionist US government conduction (to say the least).

And really, I wish to stand corrected if you have at hand facts that I fail to see.

My regards
- Julia

Lets see. Where do I start? Afghanistan as far as I'm concerned was stopped before we finished the job. I was never for going into Iraq. We destroyed his Army in 91-92. Saddam was never a threat to the US after that. We should have went into Iran instead. I don't care for the idea of some Ayotollah Assaholla with a nuke. If the US didn't support Israel who would? Argentina? My question again is where is the outcry when Israelis die at the hands of Hezbollah? What would you like? The country of Israel to pack up and leave?

My answer to your last question is: Never!
Argentina has always protected his international comunity.
Believe me or not, we (argentines) are open to all races, religions, creedences.
When the attacks against the Israel Embassy and the AMIA take place in the '90s, the MOSSAD had free way to cooperate with our somewhat impaired security forces (not experts in this type of attacks). They didn't reach to any conclussion up today.
BTW, from first hand testimonies, I have two coworkers that were at Iraq before the invasion, working for the UN searching for any signal of WMD being developed. They found nothing.
I can't give you more details. Sorry. May be I have said too much.
Anyway I appreciate your opinion, 'cos one thing is being into the "technical" side, and another very different thing is being on the "human side"
I think I speak too much, so I'm done with this, at least in this terms.
Please, don't feel offended.
You have your points, and I fully respect them, as your person.
My regards
- Julia

The fact is that there are no straight forward explanations in this awful mess. It really iritates me when I see people making up ridiculously biased opinions on a subject where it is simply not possible to be right.

This all goes so much further than the killing of innocents that is happening at the moment, terrible as it may be. What we have here is a country with it's back to the wall, fighting for it's life. I don't think that they are going about it all the right way - but I do believe that they are scared, and will do whatever it takes to make the region safer for Israelis.

Then the entire country of Israel needs professional mental health assistance to cure them of their paranoid delusions.

Would you care to back that up?

Edit: I assume you are saying that Israel has nothing to worry about.
