I look at the riots of January 6th, the attacks on Jews, Muslims, blacks, judges, law enforcement officials and anyone else that does not march in lockstep with the MAGA crowd and ask myself. How can you not see the similarities?

Even more chilling are the similarities between the capitulation of the Republican leaders who secretly hate Trump but are catering to his authoritarianism and the nine conservative parties who voted for the Enabling Act in Germany in 1933, which basically gave Hitler total power - with only the SDP voting against. Most of the leaders of those parties hated Hitler, but thought he would just be a temporary aberration. It was all about the politics and power of the moment. As it is now.
