It wasn't the daughter's lifestyle choice, nor her choice for her children nor their choice for themselves. Only the scumbag father made the choice.

Yes but how? How dose someone not go into their own celler for 24 years? Not ask what their husband dose down there? Not wonder why their doughter leaves childern and dosen't visit them?
What about Elizabeths 6 siblings didn't they wonder why they hadn't seen their sister?

Simple statistics.

6 billion people on the planet.

You don't think there are other cases of this?
Other cases? Quiet possiably, they were discovered by chance. It was by chance that the eldest doughter, who became ill, needed her mother to get better.

There have been other cases of enprisoned childern. There are some really evil things going on in this world. How could hell be worse?

The truth is that this has happened many many times before in other countries.

Why is he a scumbag? Sounds to me like you're all too willing to impose your ethics onto another person whom you don't know, nor do you know his circumstances. Let me ask you a question: Are you an etho-bigot?

You really think this? I don't think you do. I think you are looking for a pointless arguement on the internett, which I am all in favor of but this is a serious subject. Perhaps you can't comprehend the reality of what has happened so you are attempting to make light of it?

He imprisoned and raped his daughter for decades, and then imprisoned some of their joint offspring as well. Perhaps in your town forced incest is acceptable. It's abhorrent in civilized places.

Evidently, it was acceptable in this man's home. Also, Mormons on the Arizona, Utah, Nevada border do this sort of thing all the time. The polygamist cult in West Texas was charged with committing similar acts. Are are you saying then that we don't have to the right to do whatever we want, with whomever we want, whenever we want?

They were charged; they were doing wrong and were charged

You do not have the right to empose your will on others.

At some point this man switched off his consiense. Elizabeth has said he was abusing her for years before he emprisioned her.
