If Israel is using international companies to implant bombs onto mobile devices sold in the middle east, is it not also possible they also have mobile devices with implanted bombs being sold in Asia, Europe, and the U.S.?
The pagers were from a Taiwanese company (who used a European distributor), the walkie-talkies made by a Japanese one.
How do other countries know Israel hasn't done the same to them?
@vivify saidYou dont. Its not easy, neither cheap to carry out such high-tech attacks. Makes sense to do that only to people coming to kill you, like sworn enemies, Hamas, Hezbollah, Houths, Iran and such types. Why would Israel want to do that with just any ole people?

@Rajk999 saidMoney is no real object to Israel, the U.S. funds much of their military. But I see your point.

If Israel can use such attacks, there will be others who do the same. Military strategists all over are most definitely getting ideas. You better believe people like Putin are taking notes.
Attacks like this will start popping up all over the world. Such tactics may need to be lumped together with gas or chemical attacks as war crimes, since most people killed are innocent bystanders.
@vivify saidFor better or worse, it is not possible to stop the spread of technology.

It is not a war crime [and never will be] to attack someone who attacked you.
Did you comment when Hezbollah killed 12 school children in the Golan Heights in July this year?
@vivify
It is kind of scary that we're now living in a world where we're all carrying around hand grenades in our pockets 24/7.
As you say, this is not an Israel thing. If Israel can do it, presumably, others can do it too.
But your question "How do we know Israel didn't target us?" is irrelevant. Israel targets people it wants to target. Israel has no reason or motivation to target "us." Something like "How do we know China won't do this to us?" would be a better question.
@Rajk999 saidIt is a crime against humanity when you are blowing up 9 year old girls.

@Rajk999 saidI don't usually comment when known terrorists commit terrorism. I chime in when such acts are committed by people who claim to be more civilized.

The answer to terrorists killing children is never to respond by killing more children. 2 children died in Israel's attack, thousands more civilians were injured.
But I get it. Israel wants to send a message to the world what will happen if you attack them. They have decided it's better to kill than to be killed and want to deter any future attacks. That's understandable. Whether it's right is a different matter.
It is not a war crime [and never will be] to attack someone who attacked you
Those thousand of civilians didn't attack Israel.
Hezbollah has been indiscriminately launching rockets at Israeli cities for months.
Israel's counterattack in this case was incredibly precise, targeting only those whom, by the nature of the devices they were carrying, we members of the organization that has been attacking it for months.
Israel has been taking out Hezbollah members in the last few days with almost no collateral damage. It's one of the great precision military operations in history. There's no other way to spin it, which is why the Israel-hate crowd on social media is virtually nonplussed and are doing almost nothing but screaming irrelevant bromides like "war crime" or "genocide" without any attemps at all at intellectualizing these silly claims.
The pager/walkie talkie attack has set a precedent and everyone has taken notice. Now airports will scan phones, if they can. Or do something.
Random supply of tech will be stopped and random pieces ripped open.
Just like products filled with drugs crossing a border somewhere and agents doing their job, we'll have tech agents looking for tech bombs.
Israel didn't target anyone but the terrorists but Israel definitely gave a horrible idea to all bad guys out there.
@sh76 said"No collateral damage"? Almost 3,000 civilians were injured. The explosives were detonated in public places, as if Israel wanted a higher body count.

You are correct that the world screams out against Israel while being comparatively quiet when they're attacked.
I've seen the anti-Israel crowd minimize Russia's invasion as merely protecting themselves against NATO...despite Ukraine never attacking Russia. Yet they don't afford the same argument when Israel is attacked repeatedly by rockets or their captured civilians. Yes, there's more to it such as Israel's blockade (which was in response to Hamas' rise to power, so on and so forth) but it's still puzzling.
Israel has a dilemma: how do you defend yourself against terrorists who deliberately hid among civilians? Those against Israel never answer this question. It's always what Israel shouldn't do, never what they can do against Hamas.
At the same time, Israel has been stealing Palestinian land for decades and bulldozing Palestinian structures. The pro-Israel crowd never criticizes Israel for this, only defends these acts. There's been increasing settler violence against Palestinians but pro-Israel crowds just shrug.
The pro-Israel crowds defend not giving Arab citizens equal rights in Israeli society and politics. What about giving back the Golan Highets and Jerusalem, which was captured illegally in 1967? This theft is a major reason for problems between Israel and Palestine.
But the pro-Israeli answer is always "pfft, that was soooo long ago! Why you don't you give native Americans back their land then?" Even you, Sh76, counter the idea with "then give my grandpa back the flat he lost in WWII".
The scale of the death toll in Gaza is indefensible; most of the victims are women and children. At the same time Israel can't just keep letting their civilians get attacked. Since neither side will give in regarding the dispute over land, the takeover of Gaza and the West Bank is inevitable. Maybe this is the one and only way peace can be achieved; with a full, Russia-style takeover. Otherwise, the conflict will just continue well into the next century or longer.
I don't know. Fck both sides. You're all retards.

If I made a flying space car is some 90 year old going to take the credit because he "thought about it" 70 years ago?
Israel did this first and from now on it will be a weapon of war. They also put a very bad idea into the minds of bad people.
@shavixmir saidApparently its only a crime when Israel does it.

@vivify saidCivilized? Are you for real? You are fighting an enemy who follows no rules, and you want to make rules for Israel? Take a hike. Your stupid rules is what will make the terrorists win, and juddging from your mo I say that is want you want. There are no rules. Keep your rules and stick it ....
