we need flat taxes and flat government.

Few years back a news team had 4 different big name tax services do taxes on the same figures they brought them, got four different answers, differing by several thousand dollars from lowest to highest.
Too complicated and easy to screw up.

way too complicated. this is the absolute last time I am doing them myself. Right after the filing deadline, I begin shopping for an accountant.

I use TurboTax and it has been helpful, but I really do not understand a lot of the reasons behind many of the far too many variable options presented.

Thus, I probably would gain a lot from expert advice on the front end -- planning, etc.
