I had to make a claim for housing benifit becasue things have changed and I was surprised to be told on the form that if I have more partners then I can tell them about that on page 27! More partners!!

The law is obviously changing you can now get a Ijara or Murabaha Mortgage. And they look good too, no interest charges!

Didn't you read the instructions? It says,

"If you're a stud, slut, playa, ho, Muslim or Mormon, turn to page 27. Otherwise move on to page 28."

I wonder if, for legal purposes, a wife in a polygamous marriage could claim the other wives as her partners, say if they were buying a holiday house together.

In countries where dowries are paid would it be okay then to adapt the tax code to your advantage and claim a depreciation of assets as your wives got older?

That amendment to the law has been created to the detriment of the claimant - it means that any one of your partners earning invalidates your claim. The Government is desperate to save a few shillings - have you seen the PSBR? - I don't blame them. Maybe they should privatise something that has been working perfectly well that will later be up the creek and have to be bailed out again - they are very fond of that plan. Fortunately, private equity is never going to be in trouble and house prices will continue to rise otherwise we'd all really be screwed.
