How much more would you pay for your lettuce to keep illegal immigrants out of the US? Would you be willing to pay $10 a pound? Or is cheap lettuce worth the hassles?

Are you trying to say that not many Americans would want to pick lettuce all day for $5 per hour?

Couple of points that seem to have eluded you.

If they are lazy then they aren't going to be doing really hard work for virtually no money.

If they are illegal immigrants then they can't claim welfare.
