Tattoo their foreheads, cheeks, backs and forearms with the crime they committed.
Then set them free.
And declare that no one can be prosecuted for assaulting, insulting, abusing or killing someone who has such a tatoo.
They would have to stay indoors and never go out, else they'd get beaten up or killed.
So they'd kind of be in jail, but paying for it themselves!!

I am a rapist
I killed my mother
I robbed a liquor store
I raped a little girl (or boy in MJ's case)
I stole $30 M in pension funds

And what if a criminal had a change of heart? Should he still suffer enforced social stigmatization indefintely?

Take them rascals out to the swamp
put them on their knees and tie them to a stump
Let the rattlers and the bugs and the alligators do the rest....
Not a bad course of action in my book.

Anyway a tattoo would be ONE way of identfiying them, there would be others.
A change of heart?
You kill someone, then say 'OOPS sorry, I won't do that again, I'll turn over a new leaf'. Y
You rape a 2 year old, then say ' Damn that was bad, won't do that again, I'll get into trouble'.
Doesn't get you off the hook I'm afraid. You can turn over a new leaf after your punishment is over, and in my idea, it never is. Which is thw way it should be. We are too soft on criminals.

If they're such bad acts then why would you condone them under any circumstance?

i say lock them away and throw away the key. this way nobody will lose some humanity because of that creature. and the animal gets to spend the rest of their life (may it be long) pondering on what they done.
and change of heart doesn't apply in these cases. i would sooner forgive a murderer than a rapist.

Change of heart doesn't apply? Surely locking up someone who is no longer a threat to society as the average citizen is inherently wrong. Granted there are a lot of people who don't want to be part of society ever again, but why should that detract from the ones that do?
Most people have done things that they're not proud of; why should bearing the consequences be any different to anyone else, and what gives anyone the right to judge them?

and it is a known issue bastards don't need warm meals to survive. bread, water, and from time to time the necessary substances needed by the organism(vitamins and the rest)
Originally posted by mrstabbyone cannot fully trust a rapist or a paedophile that they have rehabilitated or that they even can be. i am not sure i could allow those kinds of people to be rehabilitated. some crimes are too brutal and horrible to forgive. that is why we have the death penalty, it is for people we no longer wish to be a part of society. so if that is taken care of , i would go farther as to say that death is too good for some. so again, lock them away and throw away the key.
