@sonhouse saidIt's a bacteria that invades the colon and eats you up alive. It kills off all the other good bacteria our gut needs to function. It does not go away by itself, it just kills you from organ failure eventually.
@JJ-Adams
Is that a bacterial or virus infection? Any clue as to how you contracted it? Did they actually do something to treat it, do they know how, or did they just leave it up to your body to fix itself? I never heard of this particular affliction before.
Yes, after I had it for three months and a nurse finally told them what I had, it was fixed with 10 days of an antibiotic called vancomyacin, three pills a day.
Stupid damn doctors watched me waste away and lose 25% of my body weight and become super dehydrated and anemic to the point they had to give me blood transfusions to keep me alive, while they kept giving me the same pills for two months which had no effect, but no one wanted to second guess the initial diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome.
@jj-adams saidWhat pills did they give you at first before they knew it was diff?

Stup ...[text shortened]... had no effect, but no one wanted to second guess the initial diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome.

@metal-brain saidHalf a dozen different meds, mesalamine, dicyclomine, loperamide, and I don't remember the rest.

They also did a colonoscopy, an MRI, and a Cat scan. Big fancy machines when all they had to do was get a whiff of my poop...C-diff has an ungodly, vile stench like nothing else.
@jj-adams saidLots of people stop posting and hardly anyone mentions it. I don't think you are special in this regard. Earl of Trumps hasn't posted or moved in over a month. Anybody (other than me) notice?
I don't think I mean anything to anyone here, just surpised my sudden disappearance wasn't mentioned.
I can't stand a lot of you, but if you stopped posting for an extended period I'd bring it up.
