'Conception Begins at Erection Act': Ohio Democrats push bill regulating male reproduction

Ohio lawmakers introducing a bill to make it illegal to "discharge semen or genetic material without the intent to fertilize an embryo"

"Shocking? That's kind of the point. Ohio Rep. Anita Somani, D-Dublin, posted a video on social media about introducing a bill to make it illegal to "discharge semen or genetic material without the intent to fertilize an embryo."

"Somani compared the bill to regulating abortion access, saying in her post that the legislation would hold men accountable for their role in unwanted pregnancies."

*Go read it, I'm not doing your homework for you.*

lol are they serious?

Male masturbation has a female equivalent... i.e., female masturbation.

Trying to compare it to abortion instead is just a silly construct by someone trying to make a point, but being not very good at making it.

Anyway, the law already does heavily regulate male reproduction... it requires being financially responsible for your own biological progeny.

The whole charade is contrived silliness, and will not convince a single person of anything they're not already convinced of.

That is supposed to be the point of these devices, is it not?

This is roughly the equivalent of Jim Inhofe bringing a snwoball into the Senate to prove that global warming is a hoax. It may seem clever to someone who already agrees with you, but it's not convincing anyone who doesn't or is on the fence.

Lol the female "equivalent" is ovulation.

Conception is equally contrived silliness regarding government control of private acts. Of course that's the point.

Ovulation is an entirely internal process invisible to the outside world and so is obviously not the equivalent of ovulation.

Anyway, I'm not sure what bearing that has on the point, or what your point it.

Of course, that's unsurprising, given that there really is no point to this theatrical nonsense.

So it was introduced by a Democrat?

Of course.

Do I have to hold your hand as you read?

You clearly have no idea why this bill was introduced, do you?

The electorate in Ohio has returned women's right to their own body sovereignty. Many states have done this. Just like in Kansas. Just like in Arizona. The People of this country are finally reacting to the overreaching overreaction in the Supreme Court.

Try again when your argument gets more coherent.

I hope that ordinary citizens will be charged with enforcing this and can collect up to $10,000 from anyone whose genetic material (e.g. semen) is proven to be wantonly and wastefully outside of their body? ๐Ÿ˜†

So a ba.tsh.it crazy bill was introduced by a female Democrat in order to blame men for women making bad decisions?
Sounds about right.
