What happened between people several hundred years ago stays there and has no bearing on anything now, and I will not allow it to infect my life. Lastly, as has been noted by an earlier poster, there is no country or ethnic origin on earth that doesn't have dark and terrible history. It's just a matter of how far back you look. For Germany, you go back 70-odd years to the latest episode. China was rooted in one military conquest after another. Russia? USA? France? Come on, all of them have their histories filled with inhumane treatment of their fellow human beings.
ALL of them. The little archipelago of Hawaii had tribes of warriors on every island. Each time a strong king arose on one of the islands, he would launch naval campaigns to try to defeat the militaries of the other islands in an attempt to rule them all. It is, I suppose, the dark side of man's nature and there is no cure for it under heaven. So, anyone can pick who to hate, and find plenty of evidence to support their hatred. After all, that's what keeps the blood spilling.

It is easy to see now how slavery has ruined the US, even a hundred or more years since it was outlawed. The scars of the civil war are still with us now that Trump has fired up the losing side of the first civil war and now he wants civil war #2, CLEARLY. He would rather have the US go down in flames than to deny Trump his imperial wishes.

Note that all world leaders study our country 24/7, and esp its leaders. They could not get a handle on Trump, yet Biden is the easiest read of them all. He is a bumbling leash-led dog, and these smart and strong men know it, they laugh at him.
