The movie Flock of Dodos was a great movie. I just saw it and it evaluates situation of the debate. I thought that is was pretty much unbiased but I'm me right. If anyone else has seen this movie feedback would be great. Interesting questions and accurate summaries. It is on showtime right now under documentaries, and please don't slam it without watching it.

That is a good idea. Sorry Don't post much.
"Flock of Dodos humorously examines the debate between proponents of the concept of intelligent design and the scientific establishment that supports evolution."
"The film attempts to determine who the real "dodos" are in a constantly evolving world: the scientists who are failing to promote evolution as a scientifically accepted fact, the intelligent design advocates, or the American public who get fooled by the salesmanship of the Discovery Institute."

I enjoyed the movie because it was comical as well as informative. It addresses important issues.
Originally posted by pizzinteaWhilst I advocate an unbiased approach to things, the nature of the two topics is not one which should come under debate in the pursuit of whether one is more accurate, or whether ID should be taught in schools etc. The fact of the matter is that ID is not falsifiable, scientific, of natural origin or empirically testable, as such it has no place in the academic world. From your description I'm sure the film has some merit as an amusing documentary analysing the common perception of the war between these two opposing forces. However, whilst I'm not going to slam the movie like twhitehead has, I'm in agreement with him on the state of play. ID should be ridiculed if it attempts to enter the academic arena, people are free to hold it as a personal belief, but the notion that it is in any way comparable with evolution is ridiculous.
So much for watching it before you slam it. Anyway it does that but not in those terms.
I was just trying to get people to watch the movie. It is pro evolution. Ok??? They explain how a debate even came to be. Teach the controversy. That nice catch phrase and a hundred more are developed by this company. They explain what is happening today. Evolutionists don't create catch phrases and for the general public there is too much information around to understand an explanation so a trend is leaning toward ID for a simple answer to a complicated world. Don't watch the movie. Doesn't matter to me.
