......... how come they keep winning elections?
"In the second major upset in Pennsylvania special elections on Tuesday night, Democratic State Senate candidate James Malone emerged victorious in the 36th Pennsylvania Senate District, in a district Trump won by 15 points in November. His opponent, County Commissioner Josh Parsons, had been endorsed and backed by Elon Musk.
Malone’s victory shrinks the Republican majority in the Pennsylvania State Senate to 27-23. Earlier in the evening, Democratic State House candidate Dan Goughnour won another upset in House District 35, breaking the chamber’s 101-101 deadlock and restoring the Democrats’ majority.
"Congratulations to Senator-elect James Malone on his shocking, historic special election victory in Senate District 36," DNC Chair Ken Martin said in a statement. "Malone’s victory is a loud and clear rebuke to Republicans’ threats to the programs Pennsylvania families rely on – from Social Security and Medicaid to our public schools."
Malone and Goughnour are just the latest in a special election season that has been dominated by Democrats following the disappointing presidential loss in November. Earlier this year, Democrat Mike Zimmer flipped an Iowa Senate seat in a district that Trump won by 21 points.
Two weeks ago, Democratic-Farm-Labor (DFL) candidate David Gottfried won a special election for Minnesota House, restoring a 67-67 split in the chamber between Democrats and Republicans. Gottfried dominated the race with 70% of the vote, ending a short lived GOP majority and forcing the Republicans to come to the table on a state budget in a power sharing agreement.
Democrat Sean Faircloth also recently won a special election for Maine House District 24 with 72% of the vote, trouncing Republican challenger Carolyn Fish who walked away with 28%; a 44 point victory in a district Kamala Harris won by 23 points.
Democrats have also secured one-seat majorities in the Minnesota Senate and the Virginia House and Senate; protecting against a MAGA takeover. Dems also recently held on to two key seats in the Delaware Senate. "

@no1marauder
I think the reckoning will manifest itself first at the state level, before the federal level. Wait for House mid-term elections, half-way through 47's 2d stint -- that'll be telling. Biden did surprisingly well at mid-terms, despite dire predictions. If the people who voted for the price of eggs in 2024 still vote for the price of eggs at mid-terms, the GOP will be in deep do-do.
@my-king-and-i removed their quoted postTrump districts in Pennsylvania and Iowa are "blue States"?
@my-king-and-i removed their quoted postYou really need to have someone literate read the link in the OP to you; I'd say seat changes which affect who controls a legislative body "matter".
@my-king-and-i removed their quoted postLooks like Trump was afraid the Republicans might lose Stefanik's seat if there was a special election and withdrew her name from the UN Ambassador post.
Mind you, her district is in northern New York, is heavily rural and Republicans have won it forever.
@My-King-And-I saidAbsolutely taken to school and you are still slavish in your ignorant devotion to the Trumpublican Party.
That was because the world couldn't handle "mean tweets" and those people suffered under crime and all the other problems that blue states apparently love.
Now mean tweets don't have that influence anymore.
How embarrassing.
@no1marauder saidBut what is your response to rapists and murdererrs invited to roam streets?

@AverageJoe1 saidPlease tell me, SPECIFICALLY, when and where "rapists and murdererrs" were "invited to roam streets".
But what is your response to rapists and murdererrs invited to roam streets?
Thanks in advance though, as usual, you are way off topic.

@no1marauder saidMy King and I highlighted this very matter of the blue states being liberal with illegal alien invaders, the states even say they are Sanctuaries, for god sakes. Give it up, Marauder. And this is indeed on topic, you are writing about the states.

He said exactly this, I responded, since you ignored it,.... it was not convenient.
"""Call me when the seat changes actually matter.
Remaining blue states that allow illegals to roam free and soft on crime policies will be the ones to watch in the midterms...
Midterms are a long ways off 😄""""
