@shavixmir saidI wonder if this could be used to make some sort of advanced lie-detector. They're not admissible in court due to some people being able to beat them (or failing by being overly nervous) but a polygraph using brainwaves may be more reliable.

As for them being used for evil, of course they will. We have to simply weigh whether their potential for good outweighs that. Right now, I'm not sure. It depends on how far this technology evolve. Could it potentially be advanced enough to pick up brainwaves and construct those thoughts from a distance? Who knows.
Fascinating stuff.
