If you are not willing to be wrong, can you ever truly say you seek the truth? If your bias is so strong that you will defend it to the death without fail, will your bias be all you can ever know, or better said, believe? If we are always finding fault, can we ever see the good? If we are forever finding good only, can we ever see the bad? Jesus talked about things and said that those with eyes that see. How strong is our bias? How strong is your bias if, when you are so set in your ways that any disagreement seems like hate to you?

Are we unmovable? Is it only because of strong emotion that we are?

Name one good thing about Hitler.

Or Charles Manson.

Tell us about a time when you were wrong.

Or are you here just to lecture other people?

@Suzianne
Hitler loved animals and enacted laws to protect them - the 'Reichstierschutzgesetz' . He abhorred hunting and horse-racing and referred to them as "the last remnants of a dead feudal world."

Oh, but gassing six million Jews was A-OK.

@Suzianne
You've just moved the goalposts. Your post asked: "name one good thing about Hitler"

Yes, yes I did.

You could have just as easily said: "His favorite color was blue, just like me."

Hitler won meddles for bravery during WW1.

Charles Manson succesfully left scientology.

I know it's off topic (though, to be fair, this topic is pretty lame), but why does everyone assume that loving animals is morally superior to disliking animals? I'd be interested in hearing some thoughts on that.

It's a fairly universal concept that loving anything that can suffer is a good thing.

https://www.jewishboston.com/read/jewish-tradition-and-the-love-of-animals/

Jewish law understands the connection we have with our animal companions and is very strict about how we are to treat them. We’re forbidden to cause them to suffer, and if we see an animal that is suffering, we are obligated to help it. While we’re permitted to use animals for labor, we’re not allowed to overwork them. They also get Shabbat off, and we’re not permitted to eat until our animals have been fed.

In some cases, it is due to ignorance of alternatives.
