Ignorance of the Law is no excuse.... This is known.
How does that carry over to school? If I was ignorant on a subject I got bad grades.
I'm not sure what your point is... Please explain.

If you're anything like me and not a lawyer, you got all your knowledge about the law from the news, gossip and idle conversation. You probably dont need to know more than that because you're likely well-versed in right and wrong which tells you not kill people and rob them etc.
However you've likely gotten that sense of right and wrong from the same source as your knowledge of the law... It's not something I'd call a reliable source. Being filtered through people's perceptions is the least of it.
While it would be very tricky and indeed wrong to have classes on right and wrong, it would be of immense use to learn about the law, not to argue in court, but to understand why it exists in the first place.
A by-product of that would be that children learn what society considers right and wrong.
Another by-product would be a better understanding of politics. How many people just vote for the blue team or the read team, but dont know what any of their proposed legislation actually means?
As to your point about bad grades, even if you failed at, say, art, you'd still know how to hold a pencil at the end of it wouldn't you?

It was a feeble attempt at sarcastic humor, and if I understand your opening comment or question, it wasn't even a reply to it.
It was mostly a reply to "Ignorance is no excuse, so why don't they teach it in school"? My reply was meant to say that they do teach ignorance in school.
Just a little dry humor. (Very little and very dry.) I'll butt out now and let the rest of you get back on topic.

...so how come we dont teach it at school?

The law is also knowable by conscience. If you have none - then all the teaching in the world will leave you ignorant. (pun intended)
If you are asking about teaching ignorance in schools, then you obviously don't pay attention in our politically correct class room of the new age. Ignorance is not only taught, it is preached as gospel.

To uphold and obey to the law you do not need to know every written syllable, you only have to have moral and common sense - and that they teach in school.
If the earthlings had ever had schools that did that they wouldn't have so many problems.

If so... what the hell is that?
Are you suggesting that by denying affiliation with humanity, you are smarter or better than the rest of us dumbies?
Escape from Jupiter!
Make it a priority. You are not really well suited to it's unfamiliar climes. Rather you should be in LA. You fit there quite well.

For example... you fail in the naming and declaration of this thread to state whether "Ignorance" or "Law" is the subject. You can look up the meaning of "subject".
<edit> I'll help you out. I know you are struggling trying to come up with "an issue of substance". How about the biggest issue of the twentieth century. Was Communism or Capitalism the best winning form of Economics?

People in different environments have different consciences, think lord of the flies and of our savage animal nature.
What seperates us from savages however, is our laws, which are fundamental to civilisation. Be ignorant of the cornerstone of civilisation and you are a savage. The prupose of an education system is not to create savages is it?
No wait....dont tell me. Because you're a monkey that means you're probably all for a "return to nature", right?
