The post that was quoted here has been removedSure, the vice president may have overseen the office, but my point is that it will be very difficult to point fingers at those who weren't directly implicated. This isn't a fast food restaruant we're talking about, people at the highest level of government aren't held accountable for what their subordinates do, and they know that, so they cover their rear ends so that when things like this surface, they can just point fingers at everyone else.
As far as impeachment, we had a chance to route the Bush administration in '04 and we, as a nation, collectively said what happened was permissible. The people have spoken. There is nothing for congress to do.
