It isn't hard to find good help these days -- just hard to be precise about what I want them to do.

I had a live-in nanny for years from Peru -- she arrived, a university graduate, not speaking English, no driver's license, and no green card. I got her legal status, taught her English, taught her to drive (that was the hardest part), and in return she became one of the best members of our family one could ask for. I gave her away at her wedding and now she is a manager in IT services at the World Bank.

If you cannot compete with our foreign friends -- hard cheese, old man.
