you work like a dog to live like one. how fair is that?
You put kibble in the top chamber, open a slot to let the kibble fall into the bottom, and then open a small slot in the bottom chamber to let the kibble hit the floor.
The dog has to knock the thing around until the food gets into the bottom chamber, then knock it some more to get it to come out.
Depending on how wide I set the slots, the pooch has to work easier or harder to get food.
The dog has been used to getting all his food in a bowl and scarfs it so fast he fails to appreciate it.
Dogs need to satisfy their natural urge to hunt for food. They also need more to do than sleep.
So the dog wags his tail and whacks the duckpin all over the kitchen. Takes him about 15 minutes to get his breakfast out of it instead of about 10 seconds out of a bowl.
Now, he barks and whines at the thing, still wagging his tail, because the thing won't give him food as easily as he would like. So he complains.
somehow, I see a lesson in this ....
