That's interesting.

Increasing the number of representatives in the House and such that the ratio of rep to population were the same across the country, also would seem to remedy somewhat the disparity in the electoral college where a person's vote essentially counts more in a low-populous state like Wyoming? Though, there will always be the disparate weight of counting the two senators.
It's not foolproof, though, as I've learned (and realized) after reading some more. This website (http://www.swingstateproject.com/diary/8318/the-wyoming-rule-revisted) gives a good explanation.

As far as I'm understanding the mathematics, there will always be some degree of bias, so long as each Congressperson represents more than one individual constituent. With that said, though, adopting the Wyoming Rule would help by a small degree.

Food for thought: to make the US House more representative of the electorate, why not literally...make it more proportionally representative? Why not increase the number of seats from 435 to, say, 1000?

If you're a US citizen you automatically become a House member. Make it a true Democracy and get rid of all Republic aspects.

Sure, get them to become a state so that the nanny state can pay them to stay on the island unemployed.

Nice.
Make sure that you tear up any social secrity benefits from your nanny. Oh, and don't call the cops or fire department if you have any issues. Stay out of the Library. If you get sick in your old age just lay down and die rather than accept any medicare. Keep your kids out of public school.

Don't be a hypocrite and accept only the nanny benefits that you like.
