On July 21, 2024, the day before Biden dropped out, the numbers looked like this:
Trump 43.5%
Biden 40.2%

He lost the popular vote by 4 mio in 2016 and double that in 2020. Rational analysis suggests that he cannot win in 2024, except by chicanery.
