Because right authoritarian types like yourself and jj cannot resist constantly harping on about a tiny minority from other cultures who are slightly more misogynistic and homophobic as yourselves, you see them as a flattering juxtapose whilst allowing you to engage in your favourite vice if being a racist.

There's a dress code for FIDE-event officials , but it's not clear what the code actually says or forbids. In this instance, I side with FIDE, that an international chess tournament is not the appropriate venue for political activism, however much I might agree with the activist's views outside the tournament hall.
