I made this all up , but it sounded good at the time didn't it ?
Good enough for me, MC. I think I'll ignore your last sentence and pass the story along as truth. It's job duct tape could have done.

I duct, therefore I am.

Duck tape > duct tape.
Hmmm, you may have a point, though spontaneously breaking doesn't sound like name brand duct tape, maybe generic at Wally World.

I can't top that but I am curious as to the cause of your second child.

LOL! Sellotape!!!! For shame, for shame! I bet the ad is made from the out takes. I bet they used Sellotape first and, of course, it didn't work. And then they filmed the scene again using duct tape and, of course, it did work. Duct tape always works.
What a load of old nonsense, of course they used sellotape, it is a far superior product. You know it is 100% biodegradable and after use it is safety compostable. So much for your environmentally damaging duct tape!!!! πŸ˜‰

After use???? As a duct tape user, I'm unfamiliar with that concept.

So what will you do with that bit of tape that you are using to collect you belly button fluff ? You know sooner or later it will run out of stick.

Well, I'm 66, maybe I'll run out of fluff before it runs out of stick. However, if it does run out of stick first then I'll roll it up in a little ball, dip it in caramel and give it to a neighborhood kid next Halloween for Trick-or-Treat candy. That's how I get rid of the belly button fluff every year.

Thats what sort of thing happens when you spend too much time with duct tape nerds! I warn you, the FBI (Fluff By Ingestion) will soon be onto you!
This would have never happened if you had used good old Sellotape.

I hasten to add that Sellotape is clear, making it an idea product for repairing things like torn pages in kids books. Of course for a real profession job you should use Scotch/Magic tape which disappears when applied but this far too expensive for the average family to afford. Sellotape is a high performance alternative, widely available and very cheap allowing your kids to have endless hours of fun sticking drawings to your walls, and making invisible traps for house hold pets, and grandparents that creep around your home. Plus there is no or very little "sticker plaster" residue mark, like you get with duct tape, very handy when the little brats have covered the TV remote control with it as a joke for daddy. It even has a built in facility that turns crinkly & yellow with age, giving the appearance to objects stuck together with it, that they are much older, thus increasing the value 3 fold.
Duct tape naa, Sellotape is far superiorπŸ™‚

Well, you certainly present a good case. But can Sellotape seal ductwork?

Er, ehmmm, excuse me, but.....well, duct tape isn't the best choice for duct work.....aparently, it gets all overheated and mushy and leaks its adhesive......😳

I think that statement belongs over in the Spirituality forum.

What does worshiping duct tape entail?

Sounds like it could get a bit sticky.
