The latest UN figures from May 8 count 7,797 children among the 34,844 people reportedly killed in Gaza.
This means the IDF-led attack produced a 22.4% child mortality rate.
So apparently Hamas cares much more about avoiding killing children than the IDF? Does this imply that Muslims are morally superior to Jews?
Muslims of course don't care about killing Jews - they never have. The unelected British Empire gave Palestine to the Jews - but the BE were never elected to rule Palestine, so it wasn't theirs to give away. Then the unelected UN gave away 56% of Palestine - same story. The UN isn't elected in general, and was specifically not elected to rule Palestine. So the land wasn't theirs to give away.
All the Muslims want is their land back. Give them their property back, and the war stops immediately.
Perhaps Israel should just be abolished and the entire area should be taken over by Muslims? Then we won't have to hear about these issues any more?

There is no excuse for Israel’s behaviour towards the Palestinians. It is truly despicable. But, it is the current government and elements in society which are to blame (religious fundamentalism).
Hamas is, in itself, an element within Palestinian society; extremist, religious and fundamentalist.
Although one could draw a comparison between Hamas and the current Israeli government, one can’t draw a comparison to Hamas and the larger Israeli society or even Palestinian society.
So, no, Hamas is not morally superior to Israel.
That being said, Hamas is largely a reaction towards decades of mistreatment of Palestinians (and a lack of success by Palestinian governments). However, it is a morally corrupt reaction, basing progress on indoctrination and fear.
And, this being said, the current Israeli government is equally an over-blown reaction based on history and fear.
And that each reaction by either side just feeds into a negative spiral of ever more aggressive action-reactions.
There is very seldom a war weith one side being evidently "morally superior".

The Israelis' goal is to make Gaza unliveable - demolish all buildings, all infrastructure, cut off all food and water - such that Gazans all either die or leave. Then the Israelis will move in and re-colonize the area, completing the ethnic cleansing they have been itching to do since 1948. The Israelis will then proceed to ethnically cleanse the West Bank, with the simple justification that 'they can' and 'no one will stop us.'
Do you think it is the world's moral failing that we do not step in and stop this? Or is this all just fine?

The simple fact is that if a bunch of Jews hadn't moved to the Middle East in the 1910-40 period, we wouldn't be having this debate. The Jews shouldn't have done that.
Then, the newly arrived Jews proceeded to oppress the resident Arab population in pretty awful ways which continues to this day. They shouldn't have done that either.
The Jews are the evil guys here, so it is hard to criticize ANY action taken by people struggling against evil.

Hamas is sacrificng knowingly civilians (from the side the calim to be on).
Israel is asking people to leave targets, but they offer no way where civillians can go.
Both get a solid zero for moral behaviour.
