Yes he is bluffing.

Bluffing about what? He didn't say he would start WW3.
Maybe you should read the article.

Nobody is going to start a nuclear war.

Who said anything about nuclear war?
It says WW3 dummy.

You claimed WW3 would not result in a nuclear war so why are you conflating the two now?

Well, obviously WW3 is a possibility.
It just won't be nuclear.

I think most people would acknowledge WW3 turning nuclear is a possibility.
If you think Russia would accept defeat rather than use nukes why do you think that? Are you counting on Putin's exceptional moral character?

If nobody would dare use nukes then they are useless. Are you claiming nukes are useless to both Russia and the USA? If that is true Russia is about to be wiped off the map of history. They are no match for all of NATO.

Putin is not really bluffing, as the final outcome that he speculates on is out of his control.

But, yea, I think if the US went at it with Russia, it would trigger WWIII. I think China might get in to that.

Agreed.
It seems to me this is escalating little by little in a deliberate effort to enter WW3. I would describe it as entering WW3 in slow motion. Because it is a proxy war most people don't accept it is WW3 yet, but some people have said it is. NATO countries are arming Ukraine so NATO is already involved in the war. Some NATO nations are arming the proxy.

US approves new nuclear warhead program despite cost increase
Critics have urged Washington to ditch the “expensive, dangerous, and unnecessary” project

The Pentagon seems to disagree with you. They need more nukes.
If MAD is real are they mad?

No. Just ask yourself: who’s making money.

A new warhead expense is really going to piss Zhalanzi off, until we use it to push Russia back from his border.
