In case you haven't heard of the "NAU", watch these two videos:

CNN --

CNBC --

Do you believe this is for real? If so, what makes you believe so?

EDIT: It does seem to explain why George W. Bush has done everything in his power to deflate the value of the dollar. Perhaps after hyper-inflation strikes the US, the Amero (i.e. the currency of this supposed NAU) will suddenly be our only escape from the economic crisis.

EDIT 2: For more info on this new world order type scenario involving the Amero, check out this video:

A North American Union is incompatible with a free American people and thus, it would be the start of America's second civil war.

Why do you think this? Why do you think the current government is compatible with a free American people?

I will try to answer your first question, however, I don't care to argue the second point. A North American Union is incompatible with a free American people because it violates our sovereignty and it almost certainly would usurp many of our rights guaranteed under the Constitution, including freedom of speech and the right to own firearms.

If the EU is anything to go by I would agree up to a point. Not convinced that enough could be bothered to go for a civil war though. These things are done in small chunks, each bit dragging you further into the union bit by bit. Its only when it goes too far that you realise it is too late.

Incidently I would recommend resisting (peacefully) at an early stage.

we already have too many little states on the east coast. each of them has two senators (same as the big states), and their own share of federal taxes. also, if we really wanted new states we could have annexed puerto rico and the phillipines.

Texas 696,241 km^2

England 130,395 km^2

Wales 20,779 km^2

Scotland 78,772 km^2

If it is area of land not population that is important you could always have australia. Loads of square kilometres there.

The North American Union is the way to go and it will happen, want it or not.

Canadians and Mexicans will be happy to extend their sovereignty to that part of land in the middle.

These videos are quite old. If the NAU was our future, that future was either killed by protest or is taking quite a while to materialize.

Quite frankly, I think this was conspiracy theory at its best, introduced as a way to get people to be more active about voicing concern about border controls, back when this was a hotter topic than it currently is.

Health care and education are important. They just aren't necessarily the government's responsibility.
