A "super-mosque" planned for east London is raising concerns in both the Muslim community and among non-Muslims.
The project is being financed by a group of highly conservative religious backers in Saudi Arabia. Tim Whewell reports.

So, if they make it a really beautiful building, who the hell cares?
I mean, if people are gonna be radical, a building isn't going to make them any more or less radical.

If the community into which it were built were encouraged to be part of the consultative process who knows where it could end.

The difference between war and antagonism, and peace and cooperation often can occur in an instant if across a divide of mistrust and acrimony, people reclaim common sense and put their faith in the instinct of family and the knowledge that as Sting once phrased it when the cold war was raging,..."I hope the Russians love their children too..'

- Muslims : 20.12 %
- Roman Catholic : 17.33 %
- ...
So, it's not about allowing them in, but about realizing that they have the dominant religion in the world, and start to wonder why Roman Catholics are loosing people every day, why their churches remains desesperately empty in the same time.
It's about realizing also that if they really were the angry and crazy murders that you talk about, then none of us would still be alive.
