I just hope it doesn't widen to all out war. looks like I was wrong about Iran striking first.
But the first strikes were not against any Iranian weapons, just what was used by Assad.
"...looks like I was wrong about Iran striking first."
To his credit, Sonhouse's honest enough this time to admit that that he was wrong.
The mainstream US media (which some Americans regard as their sacred text when
politically expedient) has a long record of extreme pro-Israeli and anti-Iranian bias.
The US media typically embraces false narratives of Israel supposedly NEVER initiating violence.
American politicians and journalists alike have long records of doing their dishonest
utmost to deny that Israel ever has been an aggressor.
If Sonhouse were less gullible (which I suppose cannot be helped), then he already would
have taken that into account rather than accept US media narratives at face value.
In fact, Israel was proudly killing Iranians in Syria BEFORE Iran fired back at Israel.
I note that Iran has not invaded Syria. Iranian forces are in Syria only at the invitation of
Syria's internationally recognized government--the Assad regime--which holds a seat in the UN.
So the presence of Iranian forces in Syria is NOT illegal under international law.
In contrast, Israel often has illegally invaded and occupied Lebanon.
