Yes indeed dear readers,
The Union of Scotland and England which "celebrated" its 300th anniversary yesterday, passed by without any huge fuss. The westminster Government plan to mark the occasion by issuing a new £2 coin.
Is this because Scotland look poised to elect parties who support Independence in May?
You can tell Independence is on ...[text shortened]... rn itself.
do people think the union has served its purpose?
my thoughts.......its time!
However, since I'm not one of said rulers, I suggest the stick the Union up their arses.

I know Scotch is the drink. I use it as a bit of humor.
My thing is that it certainly doesn't seem like, say Turkey (If they ever close the deal) should have any say in what gets fished in the North Sea. Does the EU have a sub-committe or something that deals with this?
So, I wouldn't see Turkey having a say on what was fished in the North Sea.

Can you by any chance tell I am, ummm... not governments biggest fan?
Go it alone or no, I just hope it doesn't interrupt with the exportation of The Macallan. 🙂

Basically, we'd only sell whisky to non-imperialist countries.
You can still have as much tartan as you want though.
The Macallan is nectar though.

Beware though, America might choose to invade. We'll borrow some boats from the Harvard rowing team, dress up like we're from Oxford, then when everybody is looking confused at us wondering why we would row all the way from Oxford, we will land our forces on your shores right before your very eyes! Bwahahahahahaha! 🙂
Or perhaps we could pay MI-5/6 to sneak us some . They must have some contacts in Scotland.

We'd have some oil though.
There's no way the US would invade a country like that.

Depends on how hard up we are for oil.
How about immigration? Would Americans be allowed to move there?
There's no party suggesting any tightening of immigration controls in an independent Scotland.

I have always been addicted to the 18 year myself. Thinking about branching out and trying something from their Fine Oak selection.
