Bill making ivermectin an over-the-counter drug signed by Gov. Greg Abbott

I would like to buy ivermectin without a prescription. I heard it is useful for arthritis. Can I order it and have it sent to me without a prescription?
@Metal-Brain saidOh, God, not this again.

Once an idiot, always an idiot, I guess.
@Metal-Brain saidMore nonsense from the conspiracy theorist.

Don't send me links to conservative hack-job sites.
Yet another gullible baboon.
@Suzianne saidIvermectin has been prescribed by doctors for 40 years to treat parasites in patients.
Oh, God, not this again.

Some leftist terd told you it was only for horses and you believed it. Apparently you still do, because..hey, Trump and stuff, right?
@shavixmir saidI assume that means you want marijuana and alcohol banned? Those are much stronger drugs than Ivermectin.
No, no, no.
The more drugs these people take, the funnier they become.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidYou nailed it. She was brainwashed into thinking it is horse dewormer and nothing more. It is actually a wonder drug for people, but partisan bias has tainted opinion of it. It might as well be poison to democrats that bought into the covid vaccine scam.

Ivermectin was a threat to emergency approval of the gene vaccines. Emergency approval could only happen if there were no other treatments, so Ivermectin and HCQ could not be approved for treatment because it would ruin emergency approval for the covid vaccines.
Since big pharma has the FDA in their pockets the cheap drugs never got approval despite being very effective. No money in cheap drugs.

@Ponderable saidWhich article did you read? The one about Arthritis or the one about Cancer?

You must be determined to continue believing ivermectin has no use as a medicine because of the slander calling it a horse dewormer. Are you like suzi denial who only thinks of ivermectin as an animal medicine?
It is medicine for human use as well as animals. Here is an excerpt from the link below:
"Developing Ivermectin for Human Use
Early experiments by William Campbell and his team from Merck discovered that the drug also worked against a human parasite that causes an infection called river blindness.
River blindness, also known as onchocerciasis, is the second leading cause of preventable blindness in the world. It is transmitted to humans from blackflies carrying the parasitic worm Onchocerca volvulus and occurs predominantly in Africa.
Ivermectin underwent trials to treat river blindness in 1982 and was approved in 1987. It has since been distributed free of charge through the Mectizan Donation Program to dozens of countries. Thanks to ivermectin, river blindness has been essentially eliminated in 11 Latin American countries, preventing approximately 600,000 cases of blindness.
These two decades of extensive work to discover, develop and distribute ivermectin helped to significantly reduce human suffering from river blindness. It’s these efforts that were recognized by the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, awarded to both William Campbell and Satoshi Omura for their leadership on this groundbreaking research."

The article rightly points out that ivermectin does not prevent people from getting covid, but neither do the covid vaccines. Ivermectin can speed recovery though. Something big pharma wanted omitted. They fought against ivermectin because it was threat to emergency approval of the covid vaccines. Effective treatments were already available. There had to be none available for EA of the covid vaccines.
It was a big scam to suppress effective and CHEAP medications for their scam to work.
@Metal-Brain
Sciencedirect did link to the original paper. And since I do work in research I can read that.
In fact yes, there was a Nobel prize and it was about the anti-parasitic effect.
And yes people try for other uses of medications regularly. But because there is research on it doesn't mean it is a foregone conclusion.
The authors of the papers did reserach in vitro (in test tubes) and found an effect. That effect wasn't big enough that anybody funded a study in vivo (at least that is the impression after superficial search (and yes I can invest several hours to make a good statement on the state of the art, but actually that is waht you should do (if anyone))).
