Oswald.

To quote a famous old saying I am about to make up... "If I knew... would I tell you? These folks know what they are doing, and I value my skin."

Seriously... I don't think it matters. We got Johnson and he continued exactly what Kennedy wanted, ie, Vietnam and a great society that spent 6 TRILLION dollars on social reform and left a nation poorer by far than that which existed in 1960. In all ways, especially in courage.

<edit follows>

The one exception is that Johnson did push through Eisenhours vision of the Equal Rights legislation. Though Kennedy never mentioned doing that, his death allowed Johnson to "run with it". Eisenhour was the one who "sent in the troops". Johnson was the one who "sent in the lawyers." Both were good calls. End Edit.

To quote the Postal Service:

''Last week i had the strangest dream
Where everything was exactly how it seemed
Where there never any mystery on who shot john f kennedy
It was just a man with something to prove
Slightly bored and severely confused
He steadied his rifle with his target in the center
And became famous on that day in november...''

The problem with Lee Harvey Oswald killing JFK is blatant if you should go and visit the assassination museum in Dallas....

I really don't know if it was so-called before or after JFK was shot, but that's another point.

The point I'm making is that the assissination museam has the window from which LHO seemingly shot JFK.
If you look at the shooting footage (which we've all seen, over and over and over and over and over and over and over again) you will see JFK's head slap from the front-right to the rear left.
Shooting from the assissination window would have shot JFK in the back of the head, slightly to the right.
This would mean that JFK's head would have slapped from rear right to front-left....which it didn't.

So, my conclusion, based on facts, footage and with a great degree of thanks to the assissination museum in Dallas, is that the person who shot from this window (supposedly Lee Harvey Oswald...what sort of a trailer-trash name is that anyway?) did not kill JFK. The person who killed him shot from the front to the right of the car (taken from the position that you're actually sitting in the car).

Now, on to the speculation...
LHO died within days. Before he had a chance to speak. He was picked up by Dallas police before he could escape. The questioning seemed to end there.
It could be my paranoid tendencies, but it smells like a cover-up.

Who wanted him dead?
Well....
Lots of people really. The CIA, the FBI, CUBA, Russia, Everyone who hates the whole Kennedy family, People who don't like donoughts or Berliner bollen, the list is endless....

If I was to bet, which I won't, but for the sake of the discussion, I would say it was J.E. Hoover. Just because he sounds like a vacume cleaner.

I thought it was Johnson, since it sounds like a Johnson.

Joe Kennedy bought the election, for his son John, through organised crime in Chicago. John appointed his brother Bobby Attorney General. Bobby proceeds to go after organised crime hard and often. You tell me....who killed John?

That's a common error made by conspiracy theorist, that if the bullet hit him from the side that Oswald was aiming at, JFK's head would have jerked in the same direction that the bullet was traveling in. That would be the conclusion most people would come up with. But that is not how it works. The bullet entering the head, made a small entry wound, it mushroomed, and exploded out near the opposit side - causing the head to snap towards the direction of the shooter. This has been demonstrated by ballistics studies numerous times.

It is also a common belief that, given the right gun, you can know someone backwards. That a misconception that Hollywood has caused. However, no conventional small arms weapon or shoulder fired small arms will knock a person backward or off their feet. Usually when shot, a person collapses in place. If the body falls over, it will fall forwards as often as backwards.

Are you trying to tell me that, say, a 165 grain bullet with maybe 2000-3000 foot pounds of energy strikes an object and that object doesn't move at all? Especially if that object is a person's head. I hunted for quite a few years as a young man, I think maybe you need to come up here to the country and get some elementary ballistics training😲 Now, I'm not saying that a body will fly through the air "Hollywood style" but they will move given the right weapon!
