Jared and Ivanka

Debates

Now that authorities have gotten to the bottom of the heinous crime of Hunter Biden lying about drug abuse when he filled out a gun form, isn't it time to focus on how and why Jared and Ivanka Trump walked away from the White House with BILLIONS?

Why send Jared Kushner to the Middle East when Rex Tillerson and Mike Pompeo were Secretaries of State?...We found out the answer two months after he left office, $2 billion from the Saudis.

He was not a private citizen going to negotiate a business deal. He was on the US government payroll and by all accounts gave the saudis an extremely sweetheart deal on buying us weapons. Also the administration looked the other way after they killed a credentialed journalist.

The $2 billion was undoubtedly a payment for services rendered while he was a white house employee.

@wildgrass
And OF COURSE Average Joe and Moot will totally agree, right🙂
Jarhead is getting some 25 million a year on just the commission fee. Nice, eh. With zero experience handling that much money, and it is clear if Jarhead and wife just disappeared and that money magically was transferred to a Cayman Island account, the Saudi's wouldn't even bitch about it most likely since it is payment for services rendered.
So the ultrarightwingnuts are probably dancing in the street with the guilty verdict on all 3 counts against Hunter and now they await sentencing, I guess that won't be for another month.
Funny how corruption is right out in the open now, eh.
Now Thomas reports four MILLION in gifts and Alito some 140,000, next down on the list showing gifts given to SCOTUS members.

This is exactly why governments should not be run like businesses and why lawmaking should be left to career politicians who understand how the rule of law actually works. The potential for conflict of interest is built in, when you send your know-nothing son-in-law on govt. matters.

@moonbus
AND paid for by OUR tax money. DOZENS of flights from DC to SA.

James comer has spent years and countless government resources investigating hunter Biden for a $4000 car loan, while we know that Jared left the white house $400 million richer than when he got there and accepted an additional $2 billion from the saudis.

MAGA still thinks trump wanted to drain the swamp.

'Siphoning off' is the more appropriate phrase.

Lindsey Graham supports this, standing up against Ocasio-Cortez and Raskin and their bill to impose ethics standards on the Supreme Court.

How can one senator stop that bill?

They ran it as a unanimous bill, to get them on record as opposing it. They can't override a filibuster anyways.

@Suzianne
why does it have to be unanimous? I thought you could even get a constitutional amendment with 60%.

That's the point, they had 0 Republicans with them on it. They didn't have 60%. With a unanimous vote it can be stopped with one vote against, so now Lindsey Graham is on record as not wanting an ethics bill for the Supreme Court.
